Pasay hospital’s OB-Gyne section accepts severe cases – Manila bulletin

The OB-Gyne section of Pasay hospital accepts severe cases

Pasay City General Hospital announced on Saturday that it is already accepting severe cases in its OB-Gyne section.

Officer-in-charge Dr John Victor de Gracia said the hospital refers all uncomplicated OB cases to the Dona Martha Lying-in clinic located in Don Carlos village, Pasay.

De Gracia said the OB-Gyne section is only accepting extreme cases at this time until all OB doctors and nurses complete their quarantine.

The hospital’s OIC issued a memorandum on August 17 ordering the temporary closure of obstetrics and gynecology departments for nine days after its doctors were infected with COVID-19.

De Gracia said the hospital currently has nine regular beds, one regular pediatric bed and three intensive care unit (ICU) beds for COVID-19.

He said the hospital occupancy rate for transitional emergency room beds is now 43%.
